Spring Table Setting Ideas
Spring has already put an extra, well, spring in my step.
With temperatures similar to a hot Summer’s day, the season ahead looks promising.
We’re over halfway through our house renovations & I’m already counting down the days till I can entertain again. When it comes to entertaining, I genuinely enjoy it & love to add a few extra special touches to create a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Spring would have to be one of my favourite times of the year to entertain, mostly due to the amazing range of florals in season (gorgeous peonies being my absolute fave!).
To help make your next brunch, lunch or dinner party as beautiful & memorable as possible, we’ve compiled the below stunning looks to recreate at home.
7 Spring Table Setting Ideas
Assortment of Spring flowers
Arrange an assortment of Spring flowers in different sized vessels to create a stunning table centrepiece. Shorter vases and trimmed stems work best so you can see other guests from across the table! Ask your local florist for typical Spring blooms. Picture source – Bristol Mag
A really easy but sweet floral idea is to place your favourite Spring bloom gently into a glass tumbler of water. Try not to dunk the flower and get all the petals wet as this will ruin their appearance and may start to sink into the water. As shown here, Camellia’s are a great choice, a flower you may already having blooming in your garden! Picture source – Intimate Weddings
Citrus fruit in vases
Not only do lemons & lime represent the true colours of Spring, they will also help prolong the life of your cut flowers (love that!) The acidity in the fruit helps deter bacteria & increases the flow of water through the stems, thus nutrients. Follow this tutorial to achieve this look at home. Picture source – Blooms By The Box
Gardening is a common theme in Spring so why not bring an element from the garden to the dining table by using rustic water cans as flower vases. Picture source – Ruffled
Mini Pot Plant Table Numbers/Name Cards
Continue the gardening theme and use mini garden pots as table numbers or name placement cards. Picture source – EAB Designs + follow their tutorial to replicate this exact look at home.
Needing to find a small thank you pressie to give to your guests? Why not make these mini succulent planted pots as a reminder of the Spring gardening/floral themed event you’ve put on. A sophisticated & grown up version of lolly bags! Picture source – Style Me Pretty
Butterflies in Baby Breath
When Spring flowers bloom, butterflies will come. Create a pretty spring flower arrangement using Baby Breath & cut out butterfly stickers. You can find these butterfly stickers online (just google Butterfly Stickers & loads of options show up including on Ebay & Etsy) or try your local craft store. Picture source – Design Improvised
